Boil Water Notice

Earlier today, a water main break on North Maple Road near Hartman Lane caused the above addresses to experience a complete loss of water pressure.

Because this repair has caused the total loss of water pressure, coliform bacteria may be present in your water system after your system is restored.  Coliform bacteria are generally not harmful and are common throughout our environment.

This notice is ONLY for the following addresses:

LOSS OF PRESSURE IN WATER SYSTEM

As a precautionary measure, residents located at the addresses listed above are advised to boil their water used for drinking and/or cooking until further notice.  When boiling water, the water should be heated to a full, rolling boil for at least one minute and allowed to cool.  Bottled water may be used as an alternative to boiling.

Please continue to boil your water until further notice.  The earliest date that the boil water advisory will be lifted will be in the morning on Tuesday, January 28, 2020.

You will be notified when the boil water advisory is lifted.  Remedial measures including chlorination and flushing of the system will be taken.  Water sampling will be conducted by the City of Saline.

If you should have questions regarding this repair or the boil water notice, please contact the Saline Department of Public Works (DPW) at (734) 429-5624.
