4th of July Fireworks!

Celebrate the 4th of July with us from Crabtree Field!

Crabtree Field, located between Liberty School and Saline Middle School, Wednesday, July 4 at 10p.m.

Free admission and parking located in the adjacent school campus parking lots.

Please plan to arrive one hour before the fireworks begin.

The rain date will be July 5th.
Seating will be available in and around the school complex. Bring something to sit on like a lawn chair or blanket.
Prohibited items are personal fireworks such as Chinese lanterns, sparklers, etc., alcohol and tobacco products.

If you would like to place your name on the November ballot to run for a seat on City Council, or for Mayor, you must submit your Nominating Petitions and other qualifying documents with the Clerk’s office by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.  Petition packets and information to become a candidate are available in the Clerk’s office at 100 N. RE: SPRING PHASE OF THE 2017 PAVING PROJECTS

PROJECT LIMITS: Reconstruction of the Bituminous Pavement and Misc. Concrete Repairs
The City of Saline is utilizing Major Street Funds to perform roadway improvements including:

  • Concrete curb and sidewalk ramp repairs
  • Catch basin and Manhole repairs
  • Removal of existing bituminous (asphalt) pavement and placement of new pavement

Spring Hydrant Flushing

The City of Saline will begin flushing hydrants as part of a routine maintenance program to achieve the highest water quality to residents. 

Starting May 1, 2018, the Department of Public Works (DPW) will flush various hydrants throughout the City.  Hydrant flushing will continue through Friday, May 25, 2018.

Although it may appear that hydrant flushing is ‘wasting water’, hydrant flushing is an important preventative maintenance step to the City’s water distribution system.

Residential yard waste collection begins April 5, 2018 and continues through the end of November. 

Oakwood Cemetery Cleanup

The annual spring cleanup of Oakwood Cemetery has been tentatively scheduled to begin Monday, March 19, 2018, weather permitting. 

During this time, any item determined by the City to be in poor condition will be discarded.  As a precaution, please remove items for safekeeping by Sunday, March 18, 2018.

Senior Resource Guide

The Senior Resource Guide is now available online and in print. The free guide provides information for a variety of services, particularly for low-income seniors. Services include everything from housing information and chore and maintenance help to substance abuse support and emergency services.
