FULL-TIME SUPERINTENDENT WATER PRODUCTION AND WASTEWATER

The City of Saline is accepting applications for a full-time Superintendent of Water Production and Wastewater to oversee all aspects of operations of a reverse osmosis water treatment plant, and a wastewater plant with a designed flow of 1.8 MGD. Additional responsibilities include maintaining 7 sanitary lift stations and 2 water towers. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, five or more years of managerial experience in water or wastewater systems, thorough knowledge of related equipment, facilities, materials and methods. Minimum B MDEQ certification in wastewater required; A-level certification preferred. Minimum D-2 certification in water treatment required; F-1 level is preferred. Minimum S-3 in water distribution required; S-2 is preferred. Salary minimum $72,777 DOQ, includes competitive benefits package. FULL-TIME CITY ASSESSOR

The City of Saline is accepting applications for the position of full-time Assessor. The current assessor is retiring after 22+ years.

This position requires a current certification as a MAAO (Level III) Assessor, a Personal Property Examiner Certification and 3 to 5 years of municipal property appraisal experience.  An Associate’s degree is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.  Saline has approximately 4,200 real and personal property parcels and a 2017 SEV of $512,167,023. Experience with IFT, CRA, TIFA and LDFA is desired. Salary range is $58,224 - $75,691dependent on qualifications, with full benefits package.

TEMPORARY SUMMER EMPLOYMENT - DPW

 The City of Saline Department of Public Works (DPW) is accepting applications for temporary summer employment to assist with park maintenance and mowing. 

Applicants must be 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.

Lifeguard

Lifeguards are needed to guard the indoor pools at the Saline Rec Center. Lifeguards are responsible for maintaining a safe aquatic environment during a variety of pool activities and will provide first aid/emergency care as needed. Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certifications are required. Must have own transportation. We offer very flexible scheduling and free fitness classes to all employees. Pay rate is $9.25-$10.50 depending on experience.

Swim Instructor

Swim instructors are needed at the Saline Rec Center. Swim instructors are responsible for teaching swimming lessons to a variety of ages and abilities. We offer lessons to children as young as 6 months with a parent to teens and adults. Extensive swimming knowledge and previous swim lesson experience is required. American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification preferred but not required. Must have own transportation. We offer very flexible scheduling and free fitness classes to all employees. Pay rate is $10-12 depending on experience.


Building Supervisor

Building Supervisors are needed for the Saline Recreation Center. Building Supervisors are responsible for supervising the facility, patrons and staff. Responsible for building operations, pool operations, snow removal, and other duties as assigned.  Position requires frequent contact with employees and public with varying degrees of skill. Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills required. This is a part time position. Available shifts will include early morning, nights and weekend. Must have own transportation. We offer very flexible scheduling and free fitness classes to all employees.

Kids’ Corner

Child care providers are needed for the Saline Recreation Center. Child care staff will provide children ages 2 months through 9 years of age with a caring, safe, and fun environment in Kids Corner while their parents use the Rec Center.  Responsible for safety of children while in Kids Corner as well as providing fun activities for children. This is a part time position. Available shifts will include morning, nights and weekend. Must have own transportation. We offer very flexible scheduling and free fitness classes to all employees.
